With the changing nature of work, psychosocial demands are emerging as critical factors influencing employee mental health and safety. Our Sydney Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) team specialises in addressing this challenge through innovative solutions focused on cognitive and psychological performance.
Well designed workplaces promote and protect worker health, and lead to new efficiencies and innovations
We specialise in defining and quantifying the cognitive and psychological demands of job roles, offering a unique service grounded in tailored evidence-based and data-driven health information. Through this, we enable employers to make informed decisions, reduce workplace psychological health injuries, and enhance overall well-being.
Our mission is to make employer well-being programs the norm, not the exception, and to alleviate the financial burden of mental health injuries by empowering both employers and employees with knowledge, support, and a shared commitment to mental health in the workplace.

Psychological demands, also known as emotional demands, refer to the interpersonal and emotional competencies required of the role in order to manage emotions and relationships. People problems and workplace stress may arise when an employee’s personality traits, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills do not match the requirements of their position.
